It enables previously unthinkable lightweight construction.
When machining reaches its limits
How is a component produced in the conventional way? It’s very simple: material is removed from a metal block during machining until the desired shape is achieved. This is why we also speak of a subtractive process. This works wonderfully so far. But what do you do if such a component requires internal channels or needs to be made lighter? Then the hogger faces a challenge.

Selective laser melting creates new possibilities
We have the solution: With our metal 3D printing, we work the other way around. Instead of removing material, we apply it layer by layer – that’s why we call it an additive process. This suddenly opens up completely new possibilities: A fine metal powder is applied in thin layers to a construction surface and fused into a stable component using a laser. The trick is that each part only receives the contours it absolutely needs. This saves weight and money.
That is why you should choose 3D printing metal:
It can replace complicated and complex component groups with one component.
It shortens every design process.
It works cost-efficiently and sustainably.
It does not require any tools.
Technical data at a glance
With our M2 from Concept Laser we can process components in the range of 25-60µm with two lasers.
